Mental health advocates say funding hampers their ability to help in Jacksonville

As the national conversation turns to mental health and preventing more senseless shootings, Jacksonville advocates say there’s more need here than available help.

It’s not for lack of agencies dedicated to offering treatment or creativity in trying to fill the gaps left by bureaucracy. It comes down to dollars, and Florida spends fewer of them on prevention and treatment of mental health problems than almost any other state. To read more click here.
